Foods That Enhance Conception...


We keep on emphasizing on the importance of eating well in most of our blog postings just because eating well helps one maintain optimum health and all the more when trying to conceive, so that the chances of conceiving a healthy baby can be increased. This is not to say you will not eat your usual,  rather it's a way of urging you to ensure that your foods contain most of these nutrients as listed below:
1.   Foods rich in calcium: Calcium is very important in the body especially in little children and fetus as it helps in building strong bones such as milk, almonds, beans, cabbage, soy milk, yogurt, fish, etc.
2.   Foods rich in vitamin B6 and folic acid: Leafy green vegetables, nuts and whole grains contain high level of these nutrients. Vitamin B6 is a reproductive hormone regulator while folic acid helps to prevent neuro-tube defects in the fetus.
3. Water: water makes up over 70 per cent of our bodies and therefore needed to grow a healthy fetus. Every one needs water to survive.
4.   Tea: Tea contains good quantity of antioxidants which boost healthy immune system. Research shows that women who regularly drink tea increase their chances of conception examples are green tea, orange pekoe tea, etc.
5.   Foods rich in vitamin C: citrus fruits help in boosting the immune system thereby ensuring a healthy conception.
