Forbes disowns new rich list

FORBES has dissociated itself from the recent rich list published by the new media in the country.
The statement from Forbes said: “The information that was published in a recent article that made reference to a list of the wealthiest Nigerian businessmen was not created nor produced by Forbes Africa or its parent company Forbes.
“Forbes Africa, its parent company in the United States, its affiliates and subsidiaries including staff, hereby unequivocally dissociates itself from the article, the content, thereof and any information that is related to it.”

Photos: Artist Brings Google's Ghosts To Life!!!

Paolo Cirio who's an artist pastes eerie life-size images of pedestrians from street view at the very spot where they were captured, this involves transferring the  blurry images of pedestrians seen on the internet giant's mapping service to the real world. Kudos! This is really a great display of high sense of creativity.

Can You Die For Your Friend?

The Greatest Love

“For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:7-8

The ultimate act of heroism is when a person gives their life for another person’s life, especially friends, comrades or family. Michael Monsoor was a navy SEAL fighting in the Iraqi War. When he was in a battle one day, a grenade literally hit him on the chest, fell at his feet, and he dived on that grenade, saving the lives of his fellow navy SEALs. And this is what his lieutenant, who was one of the men that was saved, said about this, “He never took his eye off the grenade. His only movement was down towards it. He undoubtedly saved mine and the other SEAL’s lives, and we owe him.” The nation awarded him our highest honor, the Medal of Honor. It was awarded posthumously for giving his life to save his fellow soldiers in battle. What bravery, courage and love that must have taken for this soldier to give his own life for his friends.

Yet, it’s one thing to die for your friends, your buddies, or your family members. But Christ died for those who were killing Him, who murdered Him. Christ died for those who were not with Him. He died for all of us! It was our sin that killed Him.

Yet, sadly, most people in American culture think, “if I can be good enough, that will make me a Christian.” Romans 5:8 just flies in the face of that. We can never live our lives "good enough" to become a Christian. The fact is, while we are sinners, while we are ungodly, while we are helpless in overcoming our sinfulness, Christ died for our sins. So it’s not a matter of getting your life good enough and then bam, you’re a Christian. It’s are you willing to accept what Christ has done for you - that no matter how sinful, no matter how much out of the will of God you are, no matter how ungodly your life is, will you accept this gift of love that Christ died and paid the penalty for your sins? He did that, you know? He died in your place and mine.

He laid down His life, not just for His friends, but for all of us who nailed Him to the cross. And that, my friends, is the greatest love of all...About Right From The Heart

When You Feel Discouraged Or Inadequate....

THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS--HE WHO MADE YOU,
WHO FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB.
                            ( ISAIAH 44:2 *NKJV )

  Dear Brethren,
God knew you long before you were born, just as
He knew Isaiah and Jeremiah.  He thought about you and
planned for you!  For He wanted someone just like you,
therefore you are very special to Him.  After all God has
said: "BEFORE I FORMED YOU  IN THE WOMB I KNEW
YOU, BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I SET YOU APART."
  ( JEREMIAH 1:5 )

So when you feel discouraged or inadequate, remember
that God has always thought of you as very valuable.  He is
always with you and He loves you dearly, and nothing can
separate you from that love!  FOR I AM CONVINCED THAT
NEITHER DEATH NOR LIFE, NEITHER  ANGELS NOR
DEMONS, NEITHER THE PRESENT NOR THE  FUTURE,
NOR POWERS, NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH, NOR
ANYTHING ELSE IN ALL CREATION, WILL BE ABLE TO
SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IN
CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.  ( ROMANS 8:38-39 )

So, never feel that you are unloved, or let one of
life's many discouragements set you back, instead: BE
CONFIDENT OF THIS, THAT HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD
WORK IN YOU WILL CARRY IT OUT TO COMPLETION
UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST JESUS.  Amen.
  ( PHILIPPIANS 1:6 )

  All My Love & Prayers,
          Pastor Allen
