"Out of the mouths of Babe's"

IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND
JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE
US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
              ( 1 John 1:9 *NKJV )

Dear Brethren,
For our "Out of the mouths of Babe's" category, I received
the following story previously.  So let us sit back and listen
to a 6 year old child as she teaches us a valuable lesson.
I hope you will enjoy this, and pause a moment to think about
it as well.

Subject:  A wonderful meaning of Rain

Rain:  One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main
streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when
the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my daughter, Aspen, spoke up from her relaxed
position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."  This
announcement usually meant she had been pondering some
fact  for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her
six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain! ;" she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers
are like God wiping our sins away.

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Aspen." Then my curiosity broke in. How far
would this little girl take this revelation?  So I asked... "Do you
notice how the rain keeps on coming?

    What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer: "We keep
on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
After all, In order to see the rainbow, you must first endure
some rain.  Amen.

"Do You Want To Be Made Well?"

Is God Still In The Business Of Healing?

"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people." - Matthew 4:23

In many accounts of the gospels, we see that Jesus physically healed people. As a result of the physical healing, the oppressed, depressed and hopeless were supernaturally cured in more ways than just in their bodies.

The book of Matthew is full of stories of Jesus healing the sick. But does He still do that today? As the Scripture says in Hebrews, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." There are many skeptics in the world who would say Jesus can’t heal today, but there are millions more who can testify that He does.

The Lord is asking you, "Do you want to be made well?" Whether it be physical healing, spiritual, emotional or financial healing, no thing is too great or too small for our Lord! Perhaps we've just forgotten to ask Him.

I promise you, He is still healing people today, just as he did two thousand years ago.

Breaking News: President Obama Converses With Iranian President, Hassan Rohani On Phone!!!

Should I say that history was made today, Friday, when president Obama broke the news that he had a telephone conversation with Iranian president Hassan Rohani.
President Obama said - "the phone call marked the first communication between the U.S. and an Iranian leader since 1979." "The path to a meaningful agreement will be difficult, but there is a unique opportunity to make progress with the new government in Iran."

AND

President Rohani -  said earlier Friday that Obama struck a new tone in his UN speech this week that left him optimistic about easing tensions between the two countries. "The recent elections that propelled me to the Iranian presidency created a "new environment" that could pave the way for better relations with the West."
"The atmosphere (in Iran-U.S. ties) is quite different from the past," Rouhani told a news conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, a day after the highest-level talks between the United States and Iran in a generation. "Our goal is the shared interest between the two nations. Our goal is resolving problems, our goal is step-by-step creating trust between the governments and peoples."
The Iranian president also said he hoped nuclear talks with the United States and other powers "will yield, in a short period of time, tangible results."

Jesus The Winemaker

“When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’” - John 2:3-5

Making wine from water was Jesus’ first miracle (and the one miracle of Jesus that teetotalers tend to ignore). A miracle is an act or an event that can only be explained by the power of God. There is no rational, human explanation. Yet there is more to this miracle than meets the eye. Could it be a foreshadowing of the Old Covenant, based on outward actions symbolized by the cleansing of water, to the New Covenant introduced with wine?

When Jesus came in the dawning of His kingdom, it was also the dawning of the New Covenant. In the New Covenant, God transforms a person’s heart, or cleanses our hearts, from within. It’s not just about outward actions. It’s about the heart. The New Covenant reveals that Christ has shed His blood on the cross to cleanse us of all sin from the inside out. When Jesus gave the wine to the disciples at the Lord’s Supper, the wine (yes, it was fermented!) was symbolic of His blood that is shed so that we can be cleansed of sin. So, you see, the first miracle of turning the water into wine was no accident. It was brought full circle, because Jesus led them in drinking the wine. He used it to symbolize His blood that through the shedding of His blood, He would transform their hearts from within.

What do you think about the beautiful symbolism and what the wine means? Is it symbolic of the blood of Christ, symbolic of the New Covenant? Perhaps this is why God chose this as the first sign and miracle in the dawning of Jesus’ ministry. What do you think?

He Is There For Us In Times Of Trouble

THE LORD LIVES! PRAISE BE TO MY ROCK!
EXALTED BE GOD, THE ROCK, MY SAVIOR!
          ( 2 Samuel 22:47 *NIV )

Dear Brethren,
God is indeed our "Rock."  He is there for us in times of
trouble for; GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, AN
EVER-PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE. ( Psalms 46:1 )
For; THE LORD IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF
TROUBLE. HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.
( Nahum 1:7 )

When we are fearful we can call on Him for; THIS IS
WHAT THE LORD SAYS, HE WHO CREATED YOU, "FEAR
NOT, FOR I HAVE REDEEMED YOU; I HAVE SUMMONED
YOU BY NAME; YOU ARE MINE.  WHEN YOU PASS
THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU; AND WHEN
YOU PASS THROUGH THE RIVERS, THEY WILL NOT SWEEP
OVER YOU.  WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE, YOU
WILL NOT BE BURNED; THE FLAMES WILL NOT SET YOU
ABLAZE                                          ( Isaiah 43:1-2 )

When we slip and sin we can still be forgiven for; LORD
OUR GOD IS MERCIFUL AND FORGIVING, EVEN THOUGH
WE HAVE REBELLED AGAINST HIM; ( Daniel 9:9 ) FOR
THE LORD YOUR GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD; HE WILL NOT
ABANDON OR DESTROY YOU OR FORGET THE COVENANT
WITH YOUR FOREFATHERS, WHICH HE CONFIRMED TO
THEM BY OATH.                  ( Deuteronomy 4:31 )

So, Turn your cares over to Him
and; TRUST IN THE LORD FOREVER, FOR THE LORD,
THE LORD, IS THE ROCK ETERNAL.  Amen! (Isaiah 26:4)
