Smoking raises your risk of developing cataracts and aggravates uncomfortable dry eyes. Smoking can also damage the retina and cause vision loss as well as, cause many other terminal diseases. 13.    Throw out eye medication products after 3 months, as bacteria grow easily in liquid or creamy eye makeup, and never apply cosmetics inside lash lines.
14.   Use cold compresses, antihistamines, or eye drops in cases of itchy and red eyes. If you feel like there is sand in your eyes, rinse with clean water or saline and do not hesitate to see a doctor, if symptoms persist.

10.   Never wear lenses when swimming or using cleaning products, like bleach.

11.   Treat your high blood pressure and diabetes (in case you are suffering from any of the diseases) properly as these diseases can reduce blood flow to the eyes thereby causing you poor vision.

12.    Poor medications used to treat different eye conditions can affect your vision, and so, always consult your doctor for quality eye medication recommendations and make sure you read your drug labels very well before use.

8.    Always wash your hands using only cleaners and drops approved by your eye doctor before handling lenses.

9.    Clean, rinse and dry the lenses case each time you remove the lenses and try replacing it every two to three months.

6.   Eat heart-healthy foods like citrus fruits, dark leafy greens and whole grains. These foods help circulation, and so, very good for your heart, eyes and vision.
