How To Extend Your BlackBerry' Battery Life...

9.    Spare Battery: If you know that you'll not always be chanced to be charging your phone, it is better you buy a spare battery just in case your phone's battery dies while you are traveling, driving or somewhere you can't charge the battery immediately.

10.    Lock Your Device: To avoid your phone getting activated when in your pocket or purse by a key being mistakenly pressed, use the lock button on your devise or set the device password with a timeout feature.

11.    Auto On/Off: This feature is built into the operating system of BlackBerry smartphones and has the ability to automatically turn the device on and off at given times. Before setting this feature, ensure that your BlackBerry's alarm had been set. If you fail to turn on the alarm first, you will not be able to receive emails, phone calls or SMS.

5.    Wi-Fi Connectivity: Using the Wi-Fi network for data instead of the carrier network makes a great difference in the battery life hence, if you plan to use Wi-Fi network, connect the BlackBerry's charger to the cell phone to keep the phone's battery charged while you surf the internet and use other services. Remember to turn it off immediately after use.

6.    Network Settings: Change your network settings to 2G, or better still turn off data connection completely when in poor coverage area. This will seriously help to extend your BlackBerry's battery life.

7.    Exit Unused Applications: Closing unused applications can greatly help extend your phone's battery life. Applications that constantly pull your GPS location or perform other tasks really hinder your battery life when not in use. To easily close these apps you can use the built-in App Switcher to see what's running on your device, then close anything you are not using.

8.    Applications Refresh Settings: Turn off the refresh rate of your applications like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and others, as these apps refresh constantly at set intervals thereby reducing your BlackBerry's battery life.
