CBN Recognizes Four Interswitch Partners As A Way Of Intimating It's Cashless Economy Policy Drive..

Four Interswitch clients have won in their categories at the Central Bank of Nigeria Payment System Awards, held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja recently. All four have been recognised by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for adopting an end-to-end ePayment solution to run their businesses. The awards were given to organisations in recognition of the successful adoption and implementation of ePayment services by the CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at the maiden edition of the International Conference on Payment System.
According to a statement, Cross River State won in the State Category as the best state to have adopted end to end epayment solution and Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State won in the Local Government Area category. Halogen Security Limited, a security company that provides total and integrated security solutions, won in the Small Business Enterprise (SME) category, while the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), was recognised in the Special Category. Adopting Autopay (an end-to-end ePayment solution from Interswitch) has helped these award winners address various operational challenges that stem from the use of the conventional cash-based system.
Autopay delivers higher operational efficiency by enabling immense savings on costs and time. In addition, human resources are able to focus on core business needs and less of payment processing. As the leading payment disbursement solution, Autopay has been designed to enable organizations initiate, pay and monitor payments electronically. Launched in 2003, over 500 leading organisations depend on Autopay for the automation of payments across multiple banks. These payments range from staff salaries, allowances, travel expense, petty cash to vendor and supplier-related expenditure all irrespective of the benefi ciary’s bank. It also supports both one off and recurring direct credit transactions.
Commenting on the awards, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Interswitch Transnational, Mr. Mitchell Elegbe, said, “We are absolutely delighted that four organizations that use our Autopay platform, have won awards at the CBN’s Payment System Awards. “The cost of operating a cash-based system goes beyond financials; it also has to do with managing available human resources. The gains of adopting ePayment solutions are enormous and we are glad and encouraged by the growing level of adoption.” - National Mirror

New Aviation Charges In Nigeria

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA had earlier on introduced $3,000 and $4,000 general charges for non-scheduled commercial airline operators which  takes the place of landing, parking, en route navigational charges and passenger service charge, PSC and yesterday the Co-ordinating General Manager, Corporate Communications for Aviation Agencies, Mr. Yakubu Dati, cleared the air by hinting that the chargers were not for scheduled operators. Which meant that, Nigerian registered aircraft in this category would pay $3,000 (N480,000), per flight, while aircraft with foreign registration would pay $4,000 (N640,000) per flight.

The regulatory agency listed 26 airlines as those registered with Nigeria’s Airline Operator Certificate, AOC, and these include Aero Contractors Company Nigeria Limited, Allied Air Limited, Arik Air Limited, Associated Aviation Limited and Atlantic Aviation Limited. Others are Bristow Helicopters Nigeria Limited, Caverton Helicopters, Chanchangi Airlines Limited, Dana Airlines, Dornier Aviation Nigeria AIEP Limited, First Nation Airways (SS) Limited and Hak Air Limited while also listed are, IRS Airlines Limited, Jed Air, Kabo Airlines Limited, King Airlines and Travel Limited, Max Air Limited, Med View Airlines Nigeria Limited and Odengene Air Shuttle Services Limited, Overland Airways Limited, Pan African Airlines Nigeria, Skybird Air, Skyjet Aviation Services Limited, Skypower Express Airways Nigeria Limited, Topbrass Aviation Limited and West Link Airways as airlines with Nigerian AOC. Check Out Image Of Microsoft's New Windows Ad!!!

The new ad for Windows 8.1 is said to feature the return of the Start button but still cannot decide whether the Surface is a PC or a tablet.
Every time it seems there's an answer, the questions again rise from the dead, like a bad guy with a gun at the end of a thriller. Is the Surface a PC or a tabletIn a new Windows 8.1 ad, Microsoft answers that question. By avoiding it (or not). The voiceover tells us: "You can do it all, simpler and easier, on your Windows tablet, PC or Surface." Last week, however, at the launch of Surface 2, the Surface's marketing director, Robin Seiler, was heard to say: "Surface is a productivity tablet, not an entertainment tablet." But it's a tablet, yes?
Truly, I prefer the explanation of the voiceover in this new ad -- an ad that also heralds the return of the Start button. The Surface doesn't have to be a tablet or a PC. It can just be itself, its own category, its own thing. It looks different enough not to have to be classified as one thing or another. It's supposed to be a new thing. Let it be one.
The most important thing is whether real people will warm to it, embrace it and appreciate that it is, indeed, not only different, but somehow suits their lives.
That, however, is still to be answered, reports news.cnet

Trouble Trusting God?

"I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" - Psalm 91:2

There are times when I really have to wonder about all of us - the human race. We'll do some of scariest and most idiotic things without giving it a second thought, while other times, we're scared to death of something else, when that "something" just might be the best thing we ever experienced.

For example, isn't it amazing all the people we entrust our lives to every week? We trust pharmacists to give us the right pills from a prescription we can't read. We trust pilots we don't know to fly us to the right destination, believing that they know how to fly that baby exactly where we need to go. As we sit in traffic on the interstate, we trust our lives to engineers and road construction crews, believing the bridges will hold.

Yet, people have trouble trusting God.

They often say, "I can't see Him." Do we see the engineers who designed the bridge? Do we know the pilots? Not usually. Yet God, our Creator who loves us more than anyone, who even sacrificed His Son for us to have forgiveness of sin and eternal life, we find Him difficult to trust.

It's amazing. It doesn't make sense to trust imperfect men and not to trust a perfect God.

What To Do When Temptation Comes!!!

NOW THE SERPENT WAS MORE CUNNING THAN
ANY BEAST OF THE FIELD WHICH THE LORD
GOD HAD MADE. AND HE SAID TO THE WOMAN,
"HAS GOD INDEED SAID, 'YOU SHALL NOT EAT
OF EVERY TREE OF THE GARDEN'?"
            ( Genesis 3:1 *NKJV )

Dear Brethren,
The serpent (satan) has been tempting mankind since
the beginning of this Earth age.  Just as he tempted
Adam and Eve, he tempts us as well!  Therefore you
must: BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY
THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING
WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.  ( 1 Peter 5:8 )

Now as Children of God we have added protection for
it is written; NO TEMPTATION HAS OVERTAKEN YOU EXCEPT
SUCH AS IS COMMON TO MAN; BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL,
WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE TEMPTED BEYOND
WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, BUT WITH THE TEMPTATION
WILL ALSO MAKE THE WAY OF ESCAPE, THAT YOU
MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT. ( 1 Corinthians 10:13 )
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and
he will flee from you.  For when you: DRAW NEAR
TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU.
                                              ( James 4:7-8 )

So, the next time satan tries to tempt you
tell him to take a hike!  For Jesus Christ gave you that
power when He said; BEHOLD, I GIVE YOU THE
AUTHORITY TO TRAMPLE ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS,
AND OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY, AND NOTHING
SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU.  Amen.
                                                ( Luke 10:19-20 )

All My Love & Prayers,
    Pastor Allen
