The Health Benefits Of Corn.

Corn also referred to as maize is not just a popcorn snack that is served with roasted groundnut, neither is it only a staple nor a summertime food but, corn is a kind of food which offers a good source of Thiamin (vitamin B1), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), folate, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium and phosphorus. Corn being low in protein, due to the minimal content of the amino acids lysine and triptophan contains a large quantity of complex carbohydrate, fiber and healthful essential fatty acids. Therefore, consuming more corn no doubt enhances our chances of establishing the following health conditions:
1.    It Guarantees Good Sight: Corn, as has been mentioned contains folate, beta carotene (which provides the body with vitamin A) and an antioxidant called zeaxanthin (the yellow pigment that naturally occurs in corn). And so, this grain when consumed provides the greatest visual acuity,  colour perception and healthy skin.
