Right From The Heart: Don't Give Up!

Do you feel as though everyone else seems to have it all together except you? Are you struggling with a life-crisis caused by a personal character flaw, indiscretion, or misstep? Let me assure you that you're not alone.

Consider the mess Moses got himself into. At age 39, Moses was at the apex of society, of status, of wealth, of educational pedigree, as the adopted son of the most prominent man in the world - Pharaoh. He was at the pinnacle of all society. And then he murdered an Egyptian he saw beating a slave. He buried the body and thought he had gotten away with it. But Moses was exposed the next day and had to flee for his life in the wilderness. Moses went from high society to desert nomad in just one day. And you're talking about a drastic change in everything about his life.

Moses probably felt like his life was over and thought there was no chance for him ever again doing anything of significance. But, even though what Moses did was evil and wrong, God did not abandon him. God took Moses' evil and turned it into a means for good by preparing him for the challenge of his life - calling on Pharaoh to release all the Hebrew slaves.

Perhaps you can relate to what Moses went through. No matter how bad your fall or how serious your character flaw or how much difficulty you face in life - don't give up. Turn to the Lord with trust and let God do something powerful in your life. Let God develop all the Godly attributes that He wants you to have in your life. Just like He did for Moses, God still has great plans for your life!

Born Into The Family Of God

"Jesus called for them saying, 'Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them.'" - Luke 18:16

Few things in life inspire a couple more than giving birth to a child. It's one of those times when even a skeptic tends to believe in God. The same is true when a couple adopts and sees that child for the first time. But as awesome as it is to be blessed with children, it's doubly awesome to know that your child has been born into the family of God.

This hit home one year on a trip to Israel when my three sons were baptized in the Jordan River as a testimony of their faith in Jesus Christ. My heart was overflowing, knowing that all of them, at different points in their lives, had been born into the family of God through faith in Christ. My wife and I have not only had the blessing of these sons being born into our family, but of knowing that they're in the family of God forever.

Have your children been born into the family of God? Have you? It comes through faith in Christ. Having or adopting children are wonderful, but being born into the family that lasts forever is the greatest of all...Right From The Heart

Polling Units Sited In Shrines, Forests, Others Uncovered By INEC...

AS the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues its review of the voters’ registration exercise nationwide, the electoral body has uncovered several polling units sited at shrines, thick forests and residences of politicians in Anambra and Rivers states.

INEC initiated the Continuous Voters Registration (CTR) with the aim of authenticating the list and credibility of voters, as well as accommodate voters who have relocated to new bases since the 2011 general elections. The sitting of polling units at shrines and other unexpected places was revealed by the chairmen of some states independent electoral commissions at the knowledge sharing conference which INEC held with chairmen of states electoral commissions yesterday in Abuja, where the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, urged them to ensure that the knowledge gathered at the workshop guide them towards conducting credible elections in the various states and the FCT.

Jega, who assured that the commission will be working in partnership with the state electoral commissions to relocate all the polling units in the shrines and evil forests for smooth conduct of the 2015 elections, noted that the meeting was unique because it brought together election managers at the national and local levels.

Jega said INEC has resolved to hold regular engagements with critical stakeholders as it prepares for the conduct of the 2015 general elections. The INEC chairman, who insisted that credible local council elections must constitute the foundation of any credible democracy in the country, noted that the commission fully recognises that whatever effort that is being made to improve the quality of elections at the national level would have little effect unless the quality of elections at the local council level also improves.

Confirming the uncovering of the polling units in Anambra State, the Acting Chairman of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC), Okonkwo Sylvester, stated that the units were located at Onitsha North, Ogbaru and Oyi Local Councils. His Rivers State counterpart, Mrs. Dakoro, confirmed that some polling units were sited in shrines and other hidden areas.- The Guardian

    After all, whether they know it or not, everyone is surrounded
by God's Great Love for it is like the oxygen we breathe; there is
plenty of it for each of us, and still so very many are starving for it!

    Why not reach out to another today, and share a little of God's
love with them.  After all Jesus said; "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR 
NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'" ( Matthew 19:19 ) and 
He also said, "THIS IS MY COMMAND: LOVE EACH 
OTHER."                            ( John 15:17 )

    After all sharing God's Love is as simple to do as saying thank
you to a store clerk, or just smiling at another and saying "How
are you today!"  Little acts of kindness like these go along way
towards brightening up another's day, and by doing such things it
brightens our day as well!

    So, the next time you pray thank God for filling you
with His Love, and remember to; GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD ,
FOR HE IS GOOD.  HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.

Right From The Heart: Look At Jesus

"Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." - John 14:9b

Can you remember a time you saw some friends whispering a secret to one another? Whether this was at the office, a party, at school, or even at church, it is pretty frustrating when others know a secret, while you are in the dark. I have good news for you today. While God kept the ultimate secret for thousands of years, He has now revealed it - and He wants you to know it. The scripture declares, "That their hearts may be encouraged...and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery that is," - THIS IS IT- "Christ Himself." 

If you want to understand what God is like, look at Jesus. He is the visible image of the invisible God. Christ is the Creator behind all creation. He is our Savior, who has come to rescue us from a spiritual darkness and to give us peace with God. If we want to understand God, look at Jesus. If you want to understand truth, look at Jesus. If you want to understand the answer to life, look at Jesus. This is God's ultimate secret revealed to you - Jesus Christ.
