Technology News: Windows 8 And Office 365 To Replace Windows XP

Microsoft Inc. says it's going to replace Windows XP with Windows 8 and Office 365, come April 8, 2014. It said the change process became necessary due to various advancements in technology development and the need to provide consumers with better opportunities that would aid their effectiveness in workplace and in carrying out their day-to-day activities. Window XP is no longer a product for today as it does not meet new demands of present day technology, which products like Window 7, 8 among others introduced by it would be providing, it said. The implication of this to consumer is that the company would no longer from that date be providing backup support for Windows XP users.
