Mr. Kola Adefemi, PDP Ekiti State' Legal Adviser, according to Nigerian Tribune, was beaten up by thugs at the party's secretariat where they had gathered for a press conference which was said to have been organised by some members of the state executive of the party. But before the meeting could start, some thugs came and started beating them up thereby, getting everyone present on the run. It was learnt that they have been having problems over the method for the selection of the party's candidate for the governorship election in the state that is due to take place soon.
Mr. Kola in his statement said, "I have gone to lodge a complaint of attempt on my life because, I believe they wanted to kill me."
