Pix - Rubble Of Lagos Collapsed Building Yesterday.

National Mirror

A two-storey building located at 29, Ishaga Road, Surulere, Lagos, still under construction, which collapsed on Sunday killing five persons and leaving five others critically injured.Residents blamed the collapse on the use of substandard building materials, saying the contractor was using three bags of cement for a tipper load of sand.
A resident of the area, Tajudeen Bello, said: “I had warned the contractor several times. How can they be using three bags of cement for one tipper load of sand? That is the measurement used in the building and that was why I complained to the contractor handling the building.”
