Microsoft said it had made the decision to close down MSN TV at the end of September. It said that the web had continued to evolve at a magnificent pace and that there are many new means to access the internet. MSN TV had been their subscription based internet television service. MSN TV enabled users access the internet through their TV screens.
X box One, which is the latest console of Microsoft might be filling the gap left behind by MSN TV, which would allow gamers to listen to music, compete against remote users and browse the internet.
Meanwhile, Subscribers had been notified of the closure by an email and a post on the company's website and as well recommended to save all mail, photographs and other data to SkyDrive before their accounts are closed.
