CIVIL ENGINEERS & TEAM LEAD NEEDED AT DANGOTE CEMENT (1 week more remaining)

1.                 Civil Engineer (Site) (Ref DCP/CES)

Reporting to the Manager (Civil), you will be responsible for the following:

·        Inspection and witnessing construction materials tests in the site and laboratory.

·        Verification of setting of works.

·        Pre and post concrete inspection of contractors’ works at site.

·        Inspection and structural steel fabrication and erection works.

·        Maintaining site diary on day to day basis.

Person specifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

·        One (1) – five (5) years relevant experience.

·        Basic proficiency in the use of basic MS office support tools and applications. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be preferable.

2.               Manager (Civil) (Ref DCP/MC)

Reporting to the Head Civil Structures, you will be responsible for the following:

·        Taking control of site supervision of works for the section.

·        Guide Site Engineer for effective supervision of works.

·        Authorize execution of works through a system of QA/QC documentation to ensure quality.

·        Inspect contractors’ resources with respect to quantity and quality.

·        Review contractors’ programme and progress of work on a day to day basis.

·        Any other responsibility which may be authorized by the Department Head.

Person Specifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, plus M.Sc. Civil Engineering.

·        Must be registered with COREN.

·        Ten (10) – fifteen (15) years relevant experience.

·        Basic proficiency in the use of basic MS office support tools and AutoCAD.

3.               Manager (Structure) (Ref DCP/MS)

Reporting to the Head Civil Structures, you will be responsible for the following:

·        Structural analysis and design of RCC structures.

·        Drafting using AutoCAD.

·        Preparing cost estimates.

·        Knowledge of design software – STAAD PRO/SAP 2000

Person Specification

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, plus M.Sc. Structural Engineering.

·        Must be registered with COREN.

·        Ten (10) – fifteen (15) years relevant experience.

·        Basic proficiency in the use of basic MS office support tools and AutoCAD.

4.               Quantity Surveyor (Ref DCP/QS)

In this role, you will report to the Head Civil Structures, and you will be responsible for the following:

·        Producing bills of quantities and contract tender.

·        Valuation of building, civil related works.

·        Tracking of contract programmes.

Person Specification

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

·        Five (5) – fifteen (15) years relevant experience.

·        Basic proficiency in the use of basic MS office support tools and applications.

5.                Team Lead (Ref DCP/TL)

Our successful candidates will oversee/assume responsibility for ensuring effective implementation of compliance with the company’s control policies and procedures in all areas (financial, transactions, operational activities and IT systems) in the Head Office and all plant location.

They would also:

·        Drive the execution of all internal audit engagements in accordance with professional audit standards and the company’s audit program.

·        Conduct organization-wide financial and operational audits.

·        Oversee the evaluation of controls on IT infrastructure and data protection as well as the effectiveness of information security.

·        Conduct forensic audits and investigations into cases of fraud, losses and malpractices as required.

·        Stay abreast of the best practices, new trends and developments in audit methodology, procedures and techniques.

Person Specifications

·        Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance or an IT –related disciple, in addition to a postgraduate degree in a related field.

·        Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, with at least two (2) years in a middle management role.

·        Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CISA, CIA, CITP, CISSP, CRISC and CFE.

·        Working knowledge of SOX principles and audit techniques as well as basic ERP systems.
